Nature of the role
Strategy & Operations is a team in the COO office, which leads high-impact strategic and operational initiatives that often require cross-functional coordination and management of external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Operations, the Operations Manager will help the team in the implementation and end-to-end management of business operations that will help the company scale further and achieve its business goals. As an Operations Manager, you will have exposure to several different functional areas, including procurement, go-to-market, legal, finance, external and internal events and more. We are looking for a hands-on, practical team member who will be ready to support and improve the company’s operations as we achieve our strategic goals

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of operational initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving Wintermute's ambitious growth plans in the crypto space.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership across departments to ensure alignment between operational strategies and business goals
  • Own the strategic procurement process, negotiating high-value contracts for critical software, services, and infrastructure
  • Lead strategic improvements to Wintermute's CRM, partnering with technical teams to implement automation features that enhance data quality and user experience.
  • Own data governance & ensure cross-departmental consistency to develop dashboards for senior management decision-making
  • Lead the organization and logistics of Wintermute's participation in global conferences and events, fostering industry connections and brand awareness to solidify our position as a leader in the crypto space

Hard skills requirements:

  • BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in Engineering/Business/Economics/Finance or any related degree
  • 3-7 years experience working in operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment such as start-up/scale-up, consulting, trading firm or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and project-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - the role requires a lot of interaction with various teams and external stakeholders, and it is very important to be able to communicate effectively with them
  • Willingness, aptitude and curiosity to understand the fundamentals of blockchain technologies, algorithmic trading and liquidity provision
  • Experience with MS Office, Google Suite, CRM (eg Hubspot or Salesforce)

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional experience working in a similar role in either a crypto or a fintech firm
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Experience with events logistics (conferences, office events, etc.)
  • Experience with procurement of IT Infrastructure
