We are seeking a quality-driven Senior Accountant who excels in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about integrating traditional accounting with blockchain technologies. As part of the Finance Team, reporting to the Head of Audit & Accounting, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with standards, and effective management of crypto-assets, NFTs, and fiat transactions while optimizing processes and supporting DeFi innovations.

What you'll do:

--> Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain accurate financial records for transactions involving crypto-assets, NFTs, and fiat currencies.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support the consolidation of global entity financials for group reporting.

--> Compliance & Taxation:

• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and crypto regulations.
• Assist with tax filings related to crypto transactions, including VAT/GST implications of virtual goods and services.

--> Reconciliation & Auditing:

• Reconcile on-chain transactions and balances, including wallets, smart contracts, and exchange accounts.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation and insights.

--> Process Optimization:

• Streamline financial processes and adopt best practices for accounting in a decentralized environment.
• Collaborate with blockchain engineers to implement automated reconciliation solutions.

--> Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with product, legal, and compliance teams to assess financial implications of metaverse features.
• Provide insights on pricing, tokenomics, and revenue recognition for digital assets.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
  
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, or other international accounting standards

You might also have:

• Experience or a strong understanding of crypto-assets, NFTs, and fiat currency transactions.
• Proficiency in reconciling blockchain-based transactions, including wallets, smart contracts, and exchange accounts, with experience using blockchain explorers.
• Familiarity with tax regulations related to crypto transactions

This is a remote position. We are looking for candidates based in Europe.
