About the role:
Hashgraph Foundry Inc. seeks an Executive Director, Developer Advocate for its Richardson, TX location.
This full-time position (40 hrs./wk.) is eligible for incentives pursuant to Hashgraph Foundry Inc.’s Employee Referral Program.
Both domestic and international travel required 15% of the time.
May work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
You may find yourself doing all of the following:
- Steer our regional team to the forefront of the latest developments in the Hedera and broader Web3/blockchain ecosystem
- Stay updated on the latest developments in the blockchain ecosystem and share this knowledge both internally and externally
- Leverage a comprehensive understanding of a diverse range of industries, technologies, and management to contribute personally, as well as guide the team in transferring this knowledge to empower the Hedera Council members, clients, pre-sales leaders, our developer community, and other partners
- Act as technical Hedera Hashgraph software expert and guide the team in their efforts to enable others to build innovative decentralized applications using Hedera as the premier public distributed ledger
- Understand developer user journeys and enable newcomers to participate in the ecosystem
- Facilitate learning and project planning workshops and also provide in-depth knowledge of the Hedera technology stack in support of live deployments, events, and technical discussions
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver feedback and design future Hedera Hashgraph software improvements through Hedera Improvement Proposals
- Represent the voice of the partners and developers in the community to ultimately improve the Hedera network
- Effectively balance team responsibilities with participation in executive-level meetings and engagements, hands-on execution, and the planning and execution of the DA team activities to engage the developer community
Qualification Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the position offered or as a Software Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Developer Relations Lead, Technology Lead, or a related role

Four (4) years of the required experience must be within the Web3 ecosystem and must include:

Deploying and managing large-scale databases and decentralized systems to gather insights within the blockchain technology industry

Writing, testing, and debugging code using proficiency in smart contract languages and tools, including Solidity, Hardhat, and Remix
-
Utilizing full-stack development languages and frameworks (including JavaScript, Node.js, Python, Go, Rust), as well as using proficiency in Postgresql, MongoDB, MySQL, and AWS and GCP cloud platforms

Working with open-source software management tools, including GitHub and GitLab; Leveraging Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to optimize business processes within an organization and its partner and customer companies

Driving developer advocacy initiatives, developer relations and engagement, and community building, especially in decentralized communities, hackathons organization and support, as well as building Developer Relations strategy for companies

Using knowledge of blockchain technologies, including consensus algorithms, smart contract development, and blockchain architecture as applied to both public and private blockchain networks

Creating educational materials and providing mentorship to developers, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a diverse audience

Using knowledge of the regulatory environment around blockchain technology, including KYC/AML requirements and the implications for developers

Performing product management, including understanding market needs, coordinating with a development team to build products that meet these needs, and overseeing the launch of these products

Utilizing knowledge of cryptographic principles and security protocols relevant to blockchain and best practices in smart contract development to prevent common vulnerabilities

Managing a team of Developer Advocates

Six (6) months of the required experience must include: working with ESG/Climate finance matters
