What You’ll Do
We are seeking a talented and energetic attorney to join the legal department, lead legal projects, and contribute to a high-impact and global team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a startup environment, brings an interdisciplinary and self-starter approach to solving conventional and novel legal problems, and is comfortable working independently and directly with business leaders. The position is based in Ho Chi Minh City.
Design, build, and implement processes and develop resources to grow and mature the company’s legal function.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g., vendor agreement, privacy policies, user agreements and terms of service, etc.).
Support and advise cross-functional teams across the company on commercial, corporate, and other legal issues (including commercial transactions, employment, intellectual property, privacy, regulatory filings and licensing, etc.).
Lead certain legal operations, including employee visa and immigration administration.
Advise on complex and emerging legal and regulatory issues impacting the cryptocurrency, gaming, and technology industry in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific (“APAC”) region writ large.
What We Look For
Law degree or equivalent credentials from a top law school or with distinction, and license to practice law in Vietnam or the APAC region.
Minimum of 5 years of legal practice with experience at a top-tier global law firm and/or global in-house legal department.
Must reside in and be eligible to work in the company’s Ho Chi Minh City offices.
Bilingual and highly proficient in the Vietnamese and English languages.
