Paradigm is a San Francisco-based investment firm focused on crypto and frontier technologies across the globe, with over $10 billion in assets under management. We make investments in companies and protocols at all stages, ranging from early-stage venture financing rounds to growth equity to liquid token assets.

Paradigm was co-founded in 2018 by Matt Huang (former Partner at Sequoia Capital) and Fred Ehrsam (co-founder of Coinbase). Since then we’ve been hard at work building a world-class team of brilliant mutants to investigate the world’s most beautiful technical problems. Our research-driven approach helps us build relationships with founders and entrepreneurs, but it also reflects our broader goal of growing the crypto ecosystem globally and accelerating crypto’s ability to advance the world we live in. We believe that crypto will ultimately redefine money, finance, and the internet itself, and this technological revolution will have a fundamental and long-lasting impact on the global economy.

We're looking for an Events Associate to support the operational foundation of our events program, ensuring seamless coordination and execution across a high-volume slate of gatherings throughout the year.

Paradigm's events program brings the crypto ecosystem together, creating spaces where founders, builders, and industry leaders connect and collaborate. Every event we produce strengthens relationships and reinforces our commitment to the community. The right person understands that thoughtfully designed experiences are essential to driving the industry forward.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support all events across the program including/but not limited to venue coordination, vendor communication, logistics management, and on-site execution, while directly owning small-scale events as assigned

  • Support budget tracking and vendor payments, coordinate invite lists, manage event materials, lead post-event debriefs and track event metrics for program reporting

  • Oversee administrative and operational functions for the events team, maintaining department calendars, master timelines, coordinating travel and meetings, creating agendas, and delivering status updates at internal meetings

  • Maintain and refine systems and processes for the events team, including inventory management, data collection & reporting, CRM entry, presentation and training materials.

  • Serve as a key liaison across departments, ensuring the events team meets deadlines, follows firm procedures, and maintains strong cross-functional relationships

  • Excel in a fast-paced environment through strong team collaboration, managing tight deadlines and maintaining attention to detail to achieve event objectives

  • Stay up-to-date on emerging event industry trends, recommending new and innovative ways to elevate our events program and maintain competitive standards

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2-4 years of experience in event coordination and/or administrative support roles, with hands-on experience planning and executing events in fast-paced environments; investment or venture background a plus

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail in managing production timelines, budgets, and logistics across multiple concurrent events

  • Collaborative team player with high EQ who stays calm and solutions-oriented when managing last-minute changes in high-visibility situations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Self-directed and able to prioritize competing demands, manage confidential information, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment

  • Interest in crypto and its potential, with curiosity to learn and engage with the industry

  • Proactive and hands-on approach to work, comfortable working flexible hours including nights and weekends around events and key deadlines

ATTRIBUTES

  • Exceptional collaborator and team player

  • Open-minded and adaptable in fast-changing environments

  • Clear, concise communicator in both 1:1 and group settings

  • Empathetic toward colleagues and stakeholders

  • Highly curious and a fast learner

  • Interest in frontier technologies and crypto markets
