Pantera Capital is the first U.S. institutional asset manager focused exclusively on blockchain technology. Pantera launched the first cryptocurrency fund in the United States when bitcoin was at $65/BTC in 2013. The firm subsequently launched the first exclusively-blockchain venture fund. In 2017, Pantera was the first firm to offer an early-stage token fund. Pantera manages $3.3 billion across three strategies – passive, hedge, and venture – and has backed 110 early-stage token projects and 100 blockchain companies across various stages. You’ll work closely with our Partner, Franklin Bi. You will be helping him with the planning and execution of a wide variety of projects and processes, involving strategy, operations, venture investments, and ad hoc special projects. This role will drive results, facilitating effective and focused discussions, and ensuring efficient operations. A successful candidate needs to be able to seamlessly use internal and external data and trends to set, communicate, and execute against the company's strategy. At the end of the day, you’ll become intimately familiar with what it means to build efficient practices for early stage venture investing!
Responsibilities
- You’ll support day-to-day operations of our partner and be a cross-functional team member
- You will contribute to and coordinate mission-critical projects that impact Pantera’s Investment and Platform teams.
- You will use data as your source of truth, effectively analyzing and reporting data points to help drive impactful decisions
- You’ll spearhead projects that optimize investor workflows
- You’ll help craft and deploy research benefiting the entire industry
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience in management consulting or venture capital firms, and demonstrated success in operations, growth, or strategy role with a high-growth start-up
- You embody continuous improvement and thrive on optimizing processes
- Ability to think on your feet to creatively solve any problem and an appetite to take on a variety of tasks
- You're a self-starter and excited to continuously learn and be challenged
- Strong communication, analytical, research, and presentation skills
- Located in San Francisco or willing to relocate
Nice to have
- Experience in the blockchain space
- Have been the founding member of a small team of 10 or under
