About the Opportunity
OKX is seeking a strategic and execution-driven professional to lead its government affairs strategy in Brazil. This role is designed to focus primarily on engagement with legislators, policymakers, executive branch officials, and trade associations — playing a central role in shaping how digital assets are understood and addressed by Brazil’s political establishment.
As Head of Government Affairs, you will report directly to the CEO of OKX Brazil and act as a key voice for the company’s local strategy and institutional reputation. While the role will support regulatory engagement when aligned with broader government relations efforts, the core mission is to represent OKX in Brasília and across key political circles — bringing clarity, data, and constructive dialogue to advance the crypto industry’s role in Brazil’s economy.
The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of the Brazilian government and legislative landscape with a passion for innovation and financial transformation. You’ve successfully engaged with members of Congress, executive agencies, and organizations such as the Free Market Institute. You are proactive, persuasive, and comfortable operating in political, economic, and media-facing environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead OKX Brazil’s government engagement strategy, building trusted relationships with legislators, senior government officials, and political institutions.
- Represent OKX in political and public policy discussions, including in congressional hearings, forums, industry roundtables, and institutional meetings.
- Monitor and interpret legislative developments, flagging risks and opportunities while aligning with internal teams on positioning and responses.
- Help craft OKX Brazil’s public narrative through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and written contributions that support the company’s strategic priorities.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure that regulatory interactions are consistent with broader government engagement goals.
- Build alignments with other market participants and advocacy organizations to advance shared interests and protect the integrity of the local crypto market.
- Serve as a key spokesperson for OKX in Brazil’s policy ecosystem, echoing the company's mission to be responsible, constructive, and long-term player in the local economy.
What We Look For in You
- Residents of São Paulo with strong experience navigating the local political and legislative environment.
- 10+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or political advisory roles — ideally within financial services, technology, or a highly regulated sector.
- Proven track record of engagement with legislators, ministries, and policy-focused organizations.
- Strong communication and advocacy skills — able to influence, inform, and build credibility with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a global, fast-paced, and high-growth environment.
- Strategic thinker with sound judgment, political awareness, and strong execution capabilities.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
