Our trading teams are each comprised of a dynamic group of traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers who work together to examine the global markets, seeking to understand the complexities of various traded products and exchanges. They leverage their impeccable statistical analysis and data mining skills, using the results of their research to make forecasts and develop profitable predictive trading models.

As a Production Reliability Engineer, you will have the opportunity to showcase yourself in a deeply technical setting with exceptional troubleshooting skills when required. We are looking for someone who loves learning new cutting-edge technologies and getting their hands dirty to solve challenging technical problems. In turn, we’ll support you with continuing opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills and work with a variety of teams across the organization to push the frontiers of computing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Solve complex problems that require both technical and business understanding
  • Work with traders, back-office teams, exchanges, and developers to optimize the trading environment and investigate and solve system issues
  • Interact directly with traders and researchers to communicate and drive technology changes, manage incidents, and troubleshoot problems
  • Own the production environment, driving performance, reliability, and operability through continuous improvement
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot large-scale trading systems
  • Build and maintain technical operations tooling for the production trading system including configuration management, process management, deployment, and monitoring
  • Collaborate across the technology organization to analyze and troubleshoot complex system problems
  • Other duties as assigned or needed
Skills You’ll Need:
  • At least 3+ years of experience in python and shell scripting
  • Relevant work experience in a DevOps role, ideally working directly with a trading desk
  • Familiarity with C++ helpful but not required
  • A rigorous, detail-oriented approach to operations
  • Strong understanding of the Linux operating system
  • A deep sense of ownership and urgency
  • Ability to handle shared operational responsibilities
  • Reliable and predictable availability
  • Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Self-directed and comfortable taking ownership of projects and responsibilities
  • Intellectually curious, with a desire to learn new skills, and will enjoy thinking critically about how to improve existing processes

Annual Base Salary Range
$150,000$250,000 USD
