We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our Amsterdam office. In this role, you will be initially responsible to fulfil our regulatory and exchange reporting requirements, including maintaining and improving the code of our reporting tools. This puts you in a great position to see the variety of trading activity that we support.
Over time, you will build up a strong business knowledge to compliment your technical skills. You will work with other teams, including our trading support teams to ensure the smooth running of reporting and reconciliation systems and processes to meet regulatory obligations. A multi-month rotation across support teams (Clearing, Back-office Automation, Risk Management, Core Development, Compliance, Trading Infrastructure Support) may be part of your training.
What You'll Do:
· Take ownership of day-to-day regulatory reporting operations and utilize the tools that support this.
· Work cross-functionally and build relationships with people from different areas of the business.
· Develop, tweak or improve reporting solutions as our reporting requirements evolve
· Implement upgrades/changes to production reporting environment
· Proactively monitor and troubleshoot compliance reports
· Build and maintain the DevOps toolkit for transaction reporting and other compliance functions including configuration management, process management, deployment, monitoring, data collection, and analysis
· Collaborate across the technology organization to analyze and troubleshoot complex system problems
· Work closely with Clearing, Compliance and Trade Desk Support teams to coordinate changes and manage incidents
· Manage and assess operational risk of change control into the production environment
· Define and document processes and procedures
· Other duties as assigned or needed
· Over time obtain strong understanding of the Jump ecosystem and become a multi-disciplinary asset.
Skills You’ll Need:
· Technical Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, etc) with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in an IT ops role, DevOps or Applications Support
· Ability to work on in-depth technical problems while maintaining perspective of the broader business strategy
· Excellent level of python and shell scripting
· A rigorous, detail-oriented approach to DevOps
· Experience with SQL
· Proven ability to write and deploy software on Linux platforms
· A deep sense of ownership and urgency
· A strong attention to detail and systematic approach to problem solving
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Flexible, proactive and self-motivated
· Reliable and predictable availability
· Previous exposure to regulatory reporting is a plus
