As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented Robotics Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of autonomous robotics within the blockchain ecosystem.

Position Overview:

As a Robotics Engineer at GEODNET, you will play a key role in advancing our robotics systems for both ground and aerial vehicles. You will be responsible for developing test plans, performing field tests, and improving system performance, ensuring our solutions are reliable, accurate, and optimized for real-world applications. This role requires a strong technical background combined with a passion for robotics, blockchain, and autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test and training plans for ground and aerial robotic vehicles.
  • Set up and manage field test sites with customers, conducting performance tests.
  • Perform systems engineering and analysis to enhance robot performance.
  • Develop tools to assess robot accuracy, reliability, and mission capabilities.
  • Write detailed specifications for robot control apps and cloud-based systems.
  • Integrate customer feedback and test data into a GitHub issues list for ongoing development.
  • Leverage open-source tools for performance improvements and experimental features.
  • Support the integration of blockchain technologies into robotics and autonomous systems where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with coursework in robotics.
  • Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS) or Pixhawk/Ardupilot.
  • Proficiency in Python and C programming.
  • Familiarity with SLAM algorithms is a plus.
  • FAA Part 107 drone certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to one week per month for fieldwork and customer interactions.
  • Strong written communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with blockchain or decentralized technologies, especially as they apply to autonomous systems.
  • Experience with IoT, robotics, or autonomous systems.
