About The Backend Infrastructure Group

The Backend infrastructure group develops internal libraries and frameworks for the usage of the R&D teams, advancing velocity and quality for developers in Fireblocks. Setting the development standards and conventions of the backend development in Fireblocks. Also responsible for advancing the cloud infrastructure of the organization and for the integration of the infrastructure with the R&D development lifecycle, and for production services that are used broadly by different product teams.

As the Automation and Development Tools Engineer, you will take a leading part in creating the next generation of Fireblocks’ development cycle, especially the testing and automation frameworks. Leveraging your expertise in developing automation frameworks, with a specific focus on mobile and frontend technologies, you will be part of a team of skilled developers that drive efficiency, enhance testing processes, and elevate overall product quality.

If you are a passionate individual with a strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript, a proven track record of independence, and a desire to make a significant impact on our development processes, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of infrastructure projects, driving initiatives to enhance automation processes.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to build, maintain, and optimize infrastructure solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Utilize your automation expertise to streamline and improve development processes
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Demonstrate leadership by taking the initiative to address challenges and drive continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in developing Automation frameworks, focus on mobile and frontend
  • Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Jest, Cypress
  • Contribution to open source projects / developing open source tools is advantage
  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects and work independently
  • Strong understanding of development processes and frameworks
  • Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to drive initiatives and make a substantial impact on the development process
  • Experience with blockchain or cryptography - an advantage
