About the Role:

The Accounting Associate will be responsible for DCG corporate’s accounting functions, including computing, recording, and reporting transactions. This role will serve as the administrator for NetSuite and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB) SmartView, ensuring optimal performance and user support and assisting with creating reports. This position will also be responsible for monthly reconciliations to the financial statements. Organization will be key in this role, as tracking financial information in a timely manner will be crucial. In addition, this position will be responsible for reviewing and recording certain financial information, as well as helping assist in additional areas as needed, including but not limited to intercompany transactions, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor monthly account analysis and reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts and resolve reconciling items and issues noted in a timely manner
  • Prepare, review and upload monthly journal entries for month-end close
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation
  • Prepare and provide support for audits and internal reviews, and assist in the preparation of required documentation and schedules
  • Collaborate with IT and other Finance staff to meet business requirements
  • Ad hoc requests and special projects
  • System Administration and Reporting, including:
  • Serve as the administrator for NetSuite and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB), ensuring optimal performance and user support
  • Maintain financial reports and dashboards within NetSuite and NSPB to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Utilize NSPB Smart View for ad hoc analysis and reporting, enhancing data accessibility and decision-making processes
  • Leverage NetGain to streamline processes and efficiency

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred but not required.

Required Skills:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a financial services, crypto, or venture capital environment or public accounting experience. Experience with NetSuite or a GL system implementation is preferred.

  • Experience administering NetSuite
  • Knowledge in NetSuite Saved Searches, Report Building, Analytics, SQL, or Excel VBA for data management and analysis
  • Knowledge in NSPB Smart View and NetGain
  • Knowledge of Tipalti and Abacus
