Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operating budgets, local accounting and reconciliation mechanisms and manage and oversee the cash flow of the company ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy to support business growth goals, and regulatory requirements, ensuring all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.
- Maintain and enhance the existing stress testing methodology and scenarios to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the Company and external regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with regulators, auditors, local banking partners and other external stakeholders.
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and periodic reporting of financial results to the General Manager, Group CFO and Board of Directors.
- Provide finance and treasury assistance with new business initiatives.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the named Finance Officer on specific regulatory licenses as required by authorities in the Middle East, ensuring compliance with licensing obligations.
- Support other ad hoc duties/projects assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in the Financial Services sector, particularly in regulated environments.
- Chartered accountancy certifications (e.g. CPA, ACA, ACCA etc.).
- Prior experience as a named Finance Officer or similar role for regulatory licenses in the Middle East is highly preferred Deep understanding of cash flow management, liquidity management and accounting practices tailored to UAE and/or Middle East region.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Good proficiency in speaking and writing Arabic is a plus.
- Experience with international/multinational companies is a plus.
- Strong understanding of IFRS principles.
- Knowledge of crypto related subjects is a plus.
- Knowledge in the NetSuite (Oracle) system is a plus.
- Excellent project management, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented, analytical, with an ability to multitask in a high growth environment.
- Strong willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
