The Mobile, Growth & Brand business development team is focused on bringing new users into web3 and crypto investing around the world. We do it by building partnerships that will make web3 and crypto more accessible and compelling for consumers, and creating value for our partners. We’re looking for a dynamic and creative leader to develop strategic partnerships with global carriers and OEMs. This leader is ideally located in Europe (UK, DE), should demonstrate examples of executing web3 & crypto deals that unlocked new revenue streams within the carrier ecosystem, bring a deep rolodex of CXOs & key decision makers, understand how to navigate their complex decision making processes and experience working cross-functionally with internal partners in product, engineering and design to influence resource prioritization. These partnerships will include both bringing strategic first-of-a-kind deals to market.deals and building scaled initiatives that are measured based on growth metric impact.
You will need to discover and identify core use cases across the mobile landscape where Coinbase can accelerate web3 adoption, create mutual value through strategic product and distribution partnerships, and close deals that generate the most value based on Coinbase’s unique market position. Your ultimate goal is to generate revenue generating partnerships that materially contribute to Coinbase continued growth.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
Develop the overall strategy for mobile partnerships tailored to different regions while considering the need for scalable and repeatable product partnerships.
Develop deal frameworks to execute against, prioritize partner opportunities, execute deals, and manage/optimize those deals post close
Work with product and engineering leadership to set objectives, partner with key cross functional stakeholders, provide constant market feedback on partner requirements, own the partner relationships and advocate for them internally
Become recognized as Coinbase Is subject matter expert for the mobile ecosystem
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
10+ years of mobile partnership and Go-To-Market strategy execution
Demonstrated experience executing web3 & crypto partnerships that create new revenue streams
A strong network of contacts within the senior leadership teams of global carriers
Expertise and insight into the mobile ecosystems’ web3 & crypto investment trends
Proven track record of executing deals that require cross-functional collaboration
Experience delivering revenue generating partnerships with carriers
Partnership Strategy and Execution
You define a strategic vision for new programs and achieve the objectives to unlock that vision
You bring a deep understanding of carriers and OEMs - how they think, what drives their key metrics, how to create value, and how web3 fits into their strategy
You have seen various deal scenarios, can frame value exchange with partners, create & maintain momentum, but responsibly manage risk
You have a track record of getting deals done - both complex, strategic one-offs and scaled initiatives
You are passionate about solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment
You love to do the work, influence decisions and focus on the outcome
You are most concerned about impact created by the team, not self promotion
You have strong organizational skills, experience setting priorities, solving problems
Your make first-principle based decisions, and can navigate the strategic and tactical
Communications & Collaboration
Your written and verbal communications are clear and concise, and you are able to synthesize complex topics into relatable concepts and actionable tasks.
You are skilled at framing value exchange, and can diffuse delicate situations
You are highly effective with cross-functional partners
Nice to haves:
MBA or similar experience in Business Strategy Consulting
Leading GTM efforts for a new technology product category in a start-up environment
