About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.

Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, S&P Dow Jones Indices, FTSE Russell, WisdomTree, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, Lido, GMX and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.

The Infrastructure Platform team builds the scalable, reliable internal platform that powers all production services. Our mission is to enable product teams to move fast without compromising reliability, security, or cost efficiency.

As a mid-level SRE, you’ll work on Kubernetes-based production infrastructure and help build the automation, tooling, and guardrails that allow engineering teams to scale sustainably. This is a hands-on platform engineering role focused on reliability, automation, and developer enablement - not just operations.

If you enjoy building systems that other engineers depend on, improving golden paths, and eliminating toil through automation, this role is for you.

We are fully remote and distributed across time zones, with a healthy and well-supported on-call rotation.

Your Impact

  • Operate and improve large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure in production

  • Build and maintain GitOps-driven infrastructure workflows (ArgoCD/Flux)

  • Develop automation and tooling that enable self-service infrastructure

  • Improve system reliability, scalability, and observability

  • Reduce operational toil through thoughtful engineering solutions

  • Partner with product engineers to support safe, reliable deployments

  • Contribute to infrastructure cost visibility and efficiency initiatives

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience on an SRE, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering team

  • Strong production experience with Kubernetes

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS

  • Experience implementing GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or Flux)

  • Experience with distributed systems, container orchestration, and observability

  • Strong Linux fundamentals

  • Proficiency in shell scripting and at least one higher-level language (Go, Python, etc.)

  • Ability to scale systems through automation and reliability improvements

  • Comfortable working in a fully remote, globally distributed team

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience designing and supporting real-time, high-availability systems

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing

  • CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions)

  • Experience in blockchain or Web3 environments

  • Passion for security and secure system design

  • Experience with Crossplane or more broadly developing custom operators in Kubernetes to meet business needs

  • Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling

Why Join Us?

  • Work on high-scale, production Kubernetes systems

  • Build platform capabilities that accelerate the entire engineering organization

  • Strong engineering culture focused on automation and reducing toil

  • Remote-first team with meaningful ownership and impact

  • Opportunity to deepen expertise in distributed systems and platform engineering
