The Business Technology (BizTech) team at Chainalysis creates intuitive, scalable, and secure technology experiences that accelerate Chainalysis’ growth and empower our employees to do their best work.

We’re looking for a Senior Integration Engineer who will be the subject matter expert at designing, building, and maintaining integrations into and out of Workday. As part of the team that enables Employee Life Cycle business processes within the company, this role will work closely with the People Technology team to understand requirements, drive testing and ensure adherence to best practices as it relates to privacy and information security. A key activity of this role will be creating and maintaining all documentation as it relates to Workday integrations.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Update and enhance our audit of all inbound and outbound Workday integrations .

  • Implement and upgrade Workday integrations with payroll systems.

  • Document each Workday integration’s data models and upgrade monitoring to reduce errors and failures.

  • Become familiar with other business systems integrations for systems like Salesforce and NetSuite.

  • Contribute to a plan to enable self-service automation capabilities for Chainalysis employees.

  • Proactively perform root cause analysis on integration and automation errors while identifying opportunities to improve instrumentation and observability.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with building Workday integrations including ADP, ActivPayroll, Okta, and NetSuite.

  • Well-versed in Workday concepts of RaaS, EIB, Core Connectors/Document Transformation, Cloud Connectors, and Payroll Connectors.

  • Demonstrated expertise with WD Studio and related components including XML, XSLT, Java V.8, data transformations / encoding, error handling, runtimes and repositories.

  • Solid track record of working cross-functionally with technical and operations people in IT, Talent Acquisition / Recruiting, Payroll, Finance and Security.

  • Interest in and willingness to build integrations outside of the Workday ecosystem.

  • Familiarity with lowcode automation platforms like MuleSoft, Workato, or Zapier.

Nice to have experience:

  • Experience with REST APIs and endpoints including HTTP methods, codes and JSON payloads.

  • Writing code using a general programming language like Python using modern source control like Git and Github in conjunction with serverless functions like AWS Lambdas.

  • Strong foundation in an Agile-like environment that includes user stories, sprints, grooming, and retrospectives.
