Position Overview

Bullish is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly skilled professional to join our Exchange & Custody Operations team in New York. This hybrid role bridges the gap between technical custody operations, financial operations, and automation engineering - making it ideal for candidates who thrive at the intersection of blockchain technology, financial rigour, and operational innovation.

The successful candidate will support and define custody solutions, ensure the integrity of financial data and reconciliations, and play an active role in automating and scaling operational workflows across the team. You will work cross-functionally to build, operate, and enhance our Custody platform, while contributing to the development of internal tools, dashboards, and DeFi automation infrastructure that underpin our broader digital asset strategy..

Responsibilities:

• Operations Automation & Infrastructure

  • DeFi Automation: Automate DeFi activities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention across the Operations team.

  • CLI & Scripting Tools: Maintain and expand command-line interface (CLI) tools, including existing Fireblocks CLIs, and develop new functionalities for Fordefi and other platforms.

  • Workflow Automation: Develop and implement scripts to automate the deployment and management of digital assets across various blockchain networks, reducing reliance on manual processes.

  • Vault & Wallet Architecture: Architect and implement robust and secure vault and wallet structures to enhance privacy and security protocols.

• Reporting, Analytics & Internal Tooling

  • Treasury Dashboard: Enhance and maintain treasury reporting through Excel and Tableau, providing real-time insights into asset holdings and financial performance.

  • Airtable Database: Manage and optimize the Airtable database for tracking Revolving Credit Facilities (RCFs) and loans.

  • Dune Analytics: Develop and maintain a Dune Analytics portal to extract and visualize on-chain data for strategic decision-making.

  • Activity Reporting: Configure and run comprehensive activity reports, including Solana-specific reporting, listing agreement tracking, and revenue tracking from custom DeFi protocol deals.

  • Security Dashboard: Collaborate on the development and integration of security monitoring dashboards to identify and mitigate potential risks.

• Custody Operations & Security

  • Platform Enhancement: Operate and enhance the Bullish Custody platform, championing security from design through ongoing operations, including the administration of digital asset custody platforms (e.g., Fireblocks, Fordefi, BitGo, Coinbase).

  • Transaction Authorization & Vault Management: Manage Transaction Authorization Policy (TAP) rules and vault configurations to ensure the highest levels of security and compliance.

  • Key Ceremonies: Participate in and manage highly secure key ceremonies to ensure the integrity of cryptographic keys.

  • Security Strategy: Formulate and implement custody security strategies tailored to specific threats and risks.

  • Technical Governance: Work effectively across technical and governance aspects, ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulatory requirements.

  • Security Assessments: Assist peer teams with threat modeling, design/code reviews, and security assessments of custody solutions.

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience in digital asset operations, blockchain technology, or related fields.

• Strong understanding of digital asset custody solutions (e.g., Fireblocks, Fordefi, BitGo).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Typescript) for automation.

• Experience with blockchain analytics tools is a plus.

• Familiarity with DeFi protocols and concepts.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team across different time zones.

• Strong pressure resistance and the flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends.

Bullish US LLC & CoinDesk Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $125,000 - $145,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + performance incentives/benefits. Offered salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
