ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Workday HCM Analyst is responsible for the complex analysis, design, development, and implementation of the Workday HCM system, policies, and related processes. This role involves collaboration with enterprise users, technical staff, HR subject matter experts, and HR business partners on system design decisions, user experience, complex issue resolution, and process design. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6+ years of experience with Workday HCM.
- Project Leadership: Partner with Global HR Services and Technology teams to lead Workday HCM system-related projects, including system upgrades, enhancement packages, releases, and process redesign, ensuring compliance with local regulatory standards.
- Production Support: Manage the production support and enhancements queue in collaboration with team leadership to ensure appropriate prioritization and assignment of tasks to optimize talent and resources.
- Guidance and Coaching: Provide guidance and coaching to the HR Tech team, ensuring solutions and support are well-informed, optimize system usage, and are delivered efficiently.
- Consultation: Advise and consult HR teams, including subject matter experts and leadership, on strategic and ad-hoc HR technology requests, providing best practice information for efficacy and compliance.
- System Configuration and Security: Support the configuration and security of Workday HCM and other HR SaaS systems, as well as system process flow mapping for all HR system processes. Facilitate configuration evaluation and review with sub-administrators to ensure consistency, efficient use of each Workday module, and innovative use of technology.
- Integration and Authentication: Serve as a key partner with Workday FINS and Integrations teams to support data integrations and system authentication, ensuring system stability, security compliance, and expeditious resolution of high-impact issues.
- Testing and Remediation: Conduct and facilitate complex Workday HCM system testing, identify discrepancies, and formulate remediation plans. Partner with Global Assurance, Financial Controls, and Corporate Compliance to document, test, and remediate audit and compliance-related matters.
- Training and Communication: Develop and present HR Technology-related communications and training.
- Issue Resolution: Fix issues or defects in Workday production and respond to queries from the onshore HR team, investigating and advising on technical solutions to business problems.
- Configuration Changes: Make configuration changes and enhancements to business processes, reports, and calculated fields to meet business requirements.
- Data Model Changes: Enact changes to the HR data model, including organizational hierarchies and custom fields, and liaise with other Workday teams (Finance, Procurement, FP&A) where there are shared data fields.
- Change Management: Manage the "Move to Production" process for all types of changes, including collecting, tracking, prioritizing, scheduling, testing, and implementing changes.
- Security Management: Maintain and make changes to security roles and groups in alignment with business design.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with the Global Head of HR Services and Head of HR IS to understand business priorities and provide estimates on proposed system changes. Act as a key stakeholder in ongoing Workday build-out and additional integrations. Work Collaboratively with Finance, IT and other teams as well as with external stakeholders including other government departments and external suppliers, including Workday, Peoplefluent and other third party consultants.
- Compliance: Ensure Workday processes and controls are compliant with regulatory and statutory requirements under the direction of the Head of HR IS:
- Identify Workday functionality and value creation opportunities to maximize the potential of the HR Workday instance.
- Review upcoming Workday releases, assess the impact of mandatory and non-mandatory changes on the existing production build, and liaise with broader HR IS team to make recommendations about functionality adoption.
- Coordinate Workday Service Release Testing and Response for HCM, and coordinate with other Workday stakeholders regarding their Service Release testing and response.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Workday Support at an international level, including Core HCM, Security, Recruitment, Advanced Compensation, and Advanced Reporting
- Additional module experience of Benefits, Talent & Performance, Time and Absence is desirable but not essential.
- Experience supporting a Workday platform in BAU and collaborating with third parties, such as project implementation partners.
- Strong experience in managing change across the project lifecycle and delivering within agreed timelines, with familiarity in creating and uploading EIBs.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Specific systems knowledge: Workday PRISM modules, other ERP systems, Power BI, JIRA, SharePoint, ServiceNow is highly desirable.
- Proven experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
