The Department:

As part of the Human Resources team and Reporting to the Head of HR Services in London, the main purpose of this role is to manage and administer Brevan Howard’s global compensation structure and benefits programmes, to ensure internal equity, market competitiveness, legal compliance and efficient delivery.

About the Role

  • Administer the annual compensation process including, but not limited to, execution of salary, bonus, deferral programs, and all related communications and administration.
  • Maintain the accuracy of compensation data by liaising with Talent Acquisition and HR stakeholders. Conduct monthly reconciliations with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to ensure data consistency.
  • Maintain People Fluent, Brevan Howard’s primary compensation planning system.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure accurate compensation tracking and processing, e.g., HR Operations, Payroll, Fund Finance, etc.
  • Complete benchmarking surveys, including liaising with the business and HR stakeholders as needed to ensure accuracy.
  • Advise Talent Acquisition and Business Leads on complex, senior-level offers.
  • Develop and maintain compensation policies and programs; participate in governance bodies as needed, e.g., membership in the 401K Committee.
  • Lead Compensation-related projects as required, e.g., proposals for new compensation programs, implementing levelling and salary bands, access to benchmarking data, etc.
  • Communicate Brevan Howard’s compensation and benefits plans, policies, and programs
  • Administer Brevan Howard Benefits plans globally, i.e., plan renewals, participation/open enrolments, broker relationships, etc.
  • Ownership of day-to-day benefits management within market (pension, invoice processing and vendor liaison, tax reporting, healthcare, etc).
  • Partner, coordinate and communicate with third party providers (brokers and vendors) on benefits issues, invoice payments & subsequent payment queries.
  • Partner with Funds Finance on the Front office compensation process.
  • Provide ad hoc compensation and benefits reports for various internal stakeholders.
  • Address employee queries regarding compensation and benefits.
  • Stay updated on compensation and benefits trends in the financial services industry.
  • Maintain overall compensation and benefits programs and systems to ensure compliance with international, federal, state, or local laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of compensation and benefits experience
  • Experience in delivering compensation and benefits in a global institution
  • Strong business acumen
  • A solid understanding of the financial and legal implications of the various compensation and benefits alternatives within different geographies
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to pivot quickly between giving strategic advice and being hands-on
  • Self-motivated, proactive
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and adaptable
  • Ability to work effectively and independently as well as part of a team
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience with People Fluent and Workday highly desired

Additional Information:

  • Standard hours will be 8am to 6pm with other such hours as are necessary to fulfil the role, some flexibility required.
  • Must be flexible enough to accommodate liaison with overseas offices.
  • In office role (5 days per week)
