As a Quant Developer – Front End you will be responsible for building out the next generation user interface of systems using the latest languages and quantitative techniques. The successful applicant will join the Quantitative Engineering team and a group of functionally aligned development teams reporting to the Head of Front Office Tech, working in a shared codebase to build best-in-class cloud-native solutions.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Development and Implementation:

· Develop and implement user interfaces for quantitative trading platforms using React.

· Build scalable and efficient front-end systems capable of handling large-scale data.

· Ensure integration of the UI with backend services, quantitative models, and data analysis tools.

UI Design and Innovation:

· Work closely with compliance officers to understand regulatory requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

· Provide support to the compliance team in investigating and resolving compliance alerts and issues.

· Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation for internal and external audits.

Performance Optimization:

· Optimize applications for maximum speed, efficiency, and scalability.

· Implement code-splitting, lazy loading, and efficient rendering techniques in React.

· Analyse and improve front-end performance using profiling tools and techniques.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with front office staff, technology teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.

· Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

· Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

● Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.

● 5+ years of experience in UI development, with a strong focus on React.

● Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and other relevant web technologies.

● Experience in financial, trading, or similar quantitative fields is highly advantageous.

● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
