MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the implementation of the finance change and transformation strategy
  • Lead the portfolio of change work and continuous improvement across the Finance function; steer business cases and programme specs in accordance with Finance needs
  • Collaborate closely on change and transformation priorities to ensure positive adoption
  • Guide the design of systems, processes and controls to provide a strong and robust environment
  • Optimise finance systems uptake and usage to ensure maximum return on Workday implementation
  • Collaborate with wider systems teams across the business (IT, HR, etc.) to assess change impact holistically
  • Implement and manage BAU support model, interfacing effectively with external AMS
  • Key stakeholder in ongoing finance systems build-out and additional integrations
  • Collaborate with the wider Finance team and continuously monitor internal processes
  • Drive efficiency and scalability within existing processes
  • Train and support end users and new joiners
  • Ensure systems and related process and controls are compliant with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Identify industry trends and value creation opportunities to maximise the potential of the Finance department

TECHNICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Essential

  • Familiarity with financial control, AP and FP&A functions
  • Finance systems expertise and experience of leading finance systems implementation (preferably Workday)
  • Change experience across the project lifecycle
  • Strong project management skills with successful delivery to agreed timelines
  • Experience of managing and coordinating with outsourced service providers e.g. AMS
  • Excellent communication skills: able to sell the vision and challenge/influence stakeholders
  • Experience formulating and documenting policies and procedures
  • MS office applications

Desirable

  • Experience working in Finance role
  • Specific systems knowledge: Workday* and/or other ERP systems; Power BI; JIRA; SharePoint; Whatfix; Concur.
  • Finance or change-related certifications (e.g.) CIMA, ACCA, Prince2, Six Sigma
