Brevan Howard Security Team is responsible risk management within the context of information security for the Firm. The team works closely with both business stakeholders (compliance, portfolio managers, quant traders, fund operations) as well as technology teams (developers, IT operations) to identify solutions that allow the Firm to achieve its business objectives while managing information security risks within target levels.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for securing the AWS presence of all divisions within the Firm
• Implement best-practices for identity & access management for accessing cloud resources
• Ensure seamless integration between AWS-specific security services and existing company infrastructure for asset tracking, software management and SIEM
• Advise BH teams on migrating on-premise systems to AWS with comparable or more stringent internal controls

PERSON SPECIFICATION

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

Essential

Desirable

• 3+ years of experience in information security, focused on operations, incident response or similar role
• 5+ years of experience managing high-availability services on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• BA, BSc or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or related STEM field

TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Essential

Desirable

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and data-centre orchestration models
• Subject-matter expertise in Linux and its security model

• Prior experience using configuration management platforms such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Terraform
• Fundamentals of threat modelling and risk- management
• Proficiency in a scripting language for automating common tasks
