About Us

Blockchain Association is the collective voice for the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. We are the leading nonprofit membership organization dedicated to promoting a pro-innovation policy environment for the digital asset economy. The Association endeavors to achieve regulatory clarity and educate policymakers, regulators, and the courts about how blockchain technology can pave the way for a more secure, competitive, and consumer-friendly digital marketplace. The Association represents some 100 member organizations reflecting the wide range of the dynamic blockchain industry, including software developers, infrastructure providers, exchanges, custodians, investors, and others supporting the public blockchain ecosystem.

Role and Responsibilities

We are hiring two part-time Legal Interns for Spring 2026. Interns will have a unique opportunity to work on novel, complex, and exciting issues at the bleeding edge of crypto law and policy. Interns will make meaningful, substantive contributions to BA policy team strategy and work product, and will develop valuable government affairs experience.

As a Legal Intern, you will:

  • Report to BA’s Senior Counsel and collaborate with BA staff across the organization
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda analyzing legal and regulatory issues
  • Assist in preparing policy reports, comment letters, court filings, and other materials
  • Participate in administrative and legislative advocacy efforts and litigation initiatives
  • Interact directly with BA members and other industry lawyers and stakeholders

For the Spring 2026 term, interns are expected to work 20+ hours per week, preferably from the DC office, but with the option for one of the interns to work remotely as appropriate. BA will work with your law school internship program for you to receive course credit. There is no paid internship opportunity for the Spring 2026 term.

  • Have outstanding attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Be a team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, creative environment
