Overview

Alliance is seeking a Head of Capital Formation to be accountable for all aspects of venture capital raising for Alliance’s accelerator-focused venture funds.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in capital formation in a private credit, private equity, hedge or venture fund setting and are able to successfully build long-term relationships with institutional investors (including fund of funds, family offices, and wealth management platforms) and HNWIs. The ideal candidate should thrive in clear communication, sales, relationship-building, and strategic thinking.

You will report directly to the COO and work closely with the firm’s other general partners.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

Capital Raising: Lead and execute a global strategic capital formation plan, targeting institutional investors. Be primarily responsible for lead sourcing and pipeline management. Help create proper messaging and marketing materials. Existing relationships with institutional allocators and HNWIs is a must.
Investor Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for prospective investors, communicating Alliance’s strategies, performance, and key differentiators clearly and effectively. Build long-term relationships with fund of funds and other strategic allocators.
Strategic Initiatives: Work closely with senior leadership to shape the firm’s capital formation plan, product offerings, and investment strategies.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in capital raising, investor relations, or business development within private credit, private equity, hedge or venture fund settings with 2+ years of experience in the crypto industry.
Proven track record of securing commitments from institutional investors and HNWIs, particularly within a venture fund context.
Strong network with institutional investors, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of professionalism.
Experience with remote work tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Hubspot, and Notion.
Exceptional ability to manage a pipeline and automate where necessary.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Entrepreneurial spirit and high agency (self-driven with keen ability to identify areas of improvement and bring ideas/projects through to completion).
Ability to travel globally frequently.
