The Role
Andreessen Horowitz has an immediate opening for an Offsite Program Specialist. You will be a member of our core HR team focused on supporting team offsite programs for employees, as part of overall employee engagement. As a hybrid organization, employee engagement through offsites is an important aspect for team connectivity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with people, building community, and enjoys implementing processes and organization to improve efficiency and transparency.
To join our team, you should be excited to:
- Collaborate closely with multiple internal stakeholders to project manage end-to-end workflow for firmwide employee events
- Own operational logistics for the offsites team; including coordinating calendars, tracking budgets and invoices, maintaining the inventory of event supplies and swag, and managing the offsites database in Airtable
- Build and maintain relationships with key event vendors, and research and source new venues and vendors as needed
- Manage the contract signing process and track key contract deadlines and payment due dates
- Conduct regular summaries of engagement activities; including surveys, cost summaries, and post-event analysis of participant feedback
- Ensure internal offsite resources and process guides are regularly updated and accessible to internal stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in event planning or event management
- Experience juggling multiple deadlines and demands at once and maintaining attention to detail
- You have experience supporting the design of organizational processes, drafting internal communications, and bringing people together for consistently delightful experiences
- You are process and deadline oriented; and able to learn new systems and tools quickly (Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Airtable, CultureAmp, etc)
- You are reliable yet flexible: able to deliver consistently and know how to anticipate needs and adjust
- You operate with high integrity, and have demonstrated experience in exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality
- You have a bias for action and are a a resourceful self-starter who operates with hustle
- You are comfortable navigating ambiguous and stressful situations with poise
- Low ego, high empathy, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Intellectually curious; someone who loves tech, people, and innovation
- This role requires regular in-office presence in Menlo Park, CA
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $104,000-$121,000, actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.
This role is eligible to participate in the a16z carry program and various discretionary bonus programs as well as benefit and perquisite plans including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K plan, vacation, and sick leave.
